About me

STOCKHOLM, Sweden
Social Activist

I am a drummer/percussionist with a worldwide reputation as a musician/producer/composer & pioneer of Live Breakbeat Music. Blessed to have collaborated with artists from a myriad of different genres: Underground Dance & Electronica Pioneers, African music masters, Bengali Sufi singers, Indian classical artists, Rock icons and Jazz legends. I have played with numerous iconic artists such as jazz legends Joe Zawinul (RIP) & Archie Shepp; pop star STING; Black Rock icon Vernon Reid; Hiphop pioneer M1; Funk-Soul Queen MeShell Ndegeocello; Breakbeat legend, the true Father of the “Asian Undergorund” SAM ZAMAN (State of Bengal); classical piano virtuoso Katia LaBeque; African legends Cheick Tidiane Seck, Oumou Sangare, Toumani Diabate, Tony Allen (RIP) & Manu Dibango (RIP) to name but a few. In 2009 & 2013, my productions with Cuban pianist Omar Sosa received Grammy & Latin Grammy nominations. I aim to build bridges between Ancient Musical Traditions & Future Music Technology-Production.

GLASS HOUSES

Our world is changing, the family bond gets weaker and weaker every day. PEOple live together in the same house, but act like they have no emotions no more . Our countries live in the same house (world) but show no emotions no more. We need no super hero to fix this. Let's bring back the love . And it will start from.the home the neighborhood and will extend to our countries. Let's get rid of the glass faces.

It is said that the only thing that we can ever truly control in this World, is Our Own Thoughts and Actions. If every individual had true control over the Mind-Body-Soul connection, we could trigger a vital Paradigm Shift to uplift Humanity from its present course. Amidst global conflicts and destructive behaviours, we share this song CONTROL, a Call-to-Action: Stop the killing and fighting, Heal each other. Simple Words for a Seismic World. We must take control of Our lives and Respect Mother Earth. The challenge of Our Time. Aché

41-DAYZ 41-NIGHTS (v2) featuring David Gilmore

41-DAYZ began as an instrumental expression on ancient objects warehoused in museum basements all around the world, objects that were perhaps once a child's toy or an elder's heirloom. These objects often have numbers written onto them, permanent yet not always pertinent. 41-D was initially created as an emotional response to a series of objects in a Swedish museum that cried out for a new identity beyond the numbers; a yearning for 1 more day, a reminder of TIME; the human conflict btwn living NOW and trying to create a better future for 2MRW!

T T T

TTT is an acronym for "TwinsTrophiesTraditions" created in reflection on how (old) traditions can help to preserve culture, yet can also harm our present day communities, children in particular. Twins refers to a very old Igbo tradition (Nigeria) where twins were seen as evil & were left to die. I told this to Mitchi only as an example of old traditions yet she created a deep set of heartfelt lyrics on the beauty of childbirth, deep fears and a Mother's power to survive + Our Cosmic percussion, Fydy followed with a soulful "fatherly" vocal flow
